Complementary insurance

Your complementary insurance may contribute to your costs.

Depending on your insurer and the complementary product you subscribed to, part of your fitness, training or coaching costs may be reimbursed. We help you check what your contract provides and identify the documents you need.

The reimbursement decision always belongs to your insurer.

    How it works

    We help you see clearly

    1. 1 / 3

      You tell us your insurer

We need the name of your insurer as well as the exact name of your complementary product.

    2. 2 / 3

      We check the conditions

We look at the information available about your contract: type of service covered, amount or percentage of participation, possible minimum duration and required documents.

    3. 3 / 3

      We provide the right documents

When your service is eligible, we can provide an invoice or certificate precisely describing the service actually purchased, so you can send it to your insurer.

We adapt the documents to the service actually provided. We cannot artificially change the nature of a service in order to obtain a reimbursement.

    Services

    Which services may be covered?

    • Memberships and training

Some complementary insurances contribute to the cost of a fitness or training membership.

    • Classes and supervised training

Some contracts also cover classes or supervised physical activity, under certain conditions.

    • Personal training

A few insurances contribute to Personal Training or certain forms of individual coaching. This is not systematic, however.

Coverage always depends on the complementary product subscribed to, not only on the insurer's name.

    Why check

You may already be paying for this benefit

Many people have complementary insurance without knowing exactly what it includes.

Depending on the contract, an annual contribution may be provided for activities promoting health, physical activity or fitness.

So it is worth checking before or after signing up at Off-Field.

A few minutes of checking can sometimes represent several hundred francs over a year.

    Do all insurers reimburse fitness?

No. It depends on your complementary insurance and the product you subscribed to.

Does basic insurance reimburse my fitness membership?

As a rule, a fitness membership or Personal Training is not an ordinary service reimbursed by mandatory health insurance. Any contributions mainly come from complementary insurances.

How much can I get back?

It depends entirely on your contract. Some insurers apply a fixed amount, others a percentage with an annual cap.

    Is Personal Training reimbursed?

It depends on the complementary product. Some contracts include it, while others limit their contribution to fitness memberships or certain recognised activities.

    Can Off-Field guarantee my reimbursement?

No. We can help you check the conditions and prepare the appropriate documents, but the final decision always belongs to your insurer.

What do you need in order to check?

The name of your insurer and above all the exact name of your complementary product. The insurer's name alone is usually not enough.

Can I claim reimbursement for a service already paid?

It may be possible depending on your contract, the period concerned and the documents required by your insurer. It is worth asking us.
